Youth Theatre · Grades K–12

Anderson’s Mainstage Academy offers workshops and productions designed to help students build confidence, develop performance skills, and experience the joy of live theatre. Programs are open to students in grades K–12, with opportunities for every age and experience level.

We also offer opportunities for youth to participate in some of our regular-season productions.

Upcoming Programs

  • 🌟 George M. Cohan: Musical Revue

    Grades: K–6
    Overview: A fun, age-appropriate revue of George M. Cohan’s classic songs, complete with original script and roles for all students.

    Auditions: No cuts — placement auditions only to assign roles.

    Fee: $50 per student (includes costumes & production costs).

    Schedule: Audition workshops in late mid-December · Rehearsals in Jan/Feb · Mondays & Wednesdays 5:30-6:30

    Performances in Feb.

    Financial Assistance: Always available — no one turned away.

  • 🎶 Footloose: Youth Edition

    Grades: 7–12
    Overview: A high-energy production of Footloose: Youth Edition with rights secured through Concord Theatricals.

    Audition Workshop: 2 prep nights + 1 placement night.

    Fee: $75 per student (includes costumes & production costs).

    Schedule: Audition workshops in December · Rehearsals in Jan/Feb

    Performances last weekend of February 2025.

    Financial Assistance: Always available- no one turned away.
