Finding Nemo Jr. - Level 1

Winter Theater Program for Grades K and 1st

Join us at 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney, Australia and the Big Blue Sea for "Finding Nemo Jr". This portion of the program is open to students in Kindergarten and 1st grade.

Level 1: Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Our Level 1 program is designed especially for our youngest performers in Kindergarten and 1st Grade who want to experience being part of a full musical production without the commitment of weekday evening rehearsals.

Level 1 students will be part of the ensemble in our production of Finding Nemo Jr., rehearsing their material on Saturday mornings.

This is a great fit for first-time performers, younger students who aren't quite ready for twice-a-week rehearsals, or families looking for an introductory theatre experience with a smaller weekly time commitment.

Program Structure

Level 1 students participate as ensemble members only and will not go through the same role-placement process as our Level 2 performers.

They'll learn their songs, movement, choreography and stage skills during their Saturday rehearsals while building confidence and getting comfortable performing as part of a group.

Space is limited.

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Rehearsals: January–February 2027

  • Days: Saturdays only

  • Time: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

  • Tech/Final Rehearsals: Additional required rehearsals with the full Finding Nemo cast may be scheduled as we approach performances.

Performances

Level 1 students will perform as part of the full Finding Nemo Jr. production:

Saturday, February 27 at 3:30 PM
Sunday, February 28 at 3:30 PM

A First Step Onto the Stage

Level 1 gives our youngest performers the chance to experience the excitement of being in a musical while keeping the schedule manageable for young children and their families.

Students will learn what it's like to rehearse, work as an ensemble and perform for a live audience—all while being part of the same production as our Level 2 performers.

It's the perfect first step for a young performer who is excited to get onstage but may not be ready for the larger rehearsal commitment of Level 2.
